Lemons and Lemonade

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. That's fine but without any sugar, it's still sour ain't it?

Dream A Little Dream

Originally by Louise Armstrong, sung by Michael Buble

Stars shining bright above you,
Night breezes seem to whisper, "I love you"
Birds singing in the sycamore tree,
Dream a little dream of me

Say "nighty-night" and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me
While I'm alone and blue as can be,
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading, but I linger on, dear
Still craving your kiss,
I'm longing to linger till dawn, dear
Just saying this:

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be,
Dream a little dream of me.

4+5

Chelsea's no. 8 tucking away goal no. 4

Since that shock defeat at Villa, the Blues banged in 4 goals past Atletico in the UCL and a sensational 5 past Blackburn.

Good: Only team left with 100% home record in BPL

Better: Liverpool beat Man Utd 2-0, so we're back on top

Best: After a mini drought (10 games without a goal), Frank gets 1 against Madrid and 2 against Rovers. 3 in 1 week, talk about ending the *crisis* in real style.

Pick-Me-Up

I, Wong Su-Wen, am only human.

And today I have learned that it is possible to fail

Welll actually I've learnt that a long time ago.

But up until now, I've forgotten what it's like to feel that crushing dissapointment

But today I also learnt that I have good friends and shoulders to cry on

And that I must learn from yesterday's mistakes.

Sediakan payung sebelum hujan
Sediakan dayung sebelum tenggelam

And most important, don't stop believing in yourself

So tired of playing games...sometimes I just wish I could have to courage to say something! *grumbles* Stupid coward.

Sing the Blues :)

Chelsea 2-0

Anelka '55
Malouda '90+1
A defensive masterclass thanks to a superb display by Terry and Carvalho, good finishing by Anelka and Malouda and an excellent display from Essien (Frank had a surprisingly quiet game) sent us back to the summit of the Premier League. The scoreline certainly did not flatter us (as claimed by Reds fans), we were mostly in control of the game save for the first 10 minutes and the last half-hour. Truth is, Hilario made some good saves; Gerrard and Torres were succesfully subdued and we took our chances. Liverpool didn't, and that's why the better side won. True, they threw everything at us after we scored the first goal and I was always afraid we would concede an equaliser, but thankfully we stood firm and the second goal killed of the game.
Carlo Ancelotti has passed big test number one.
BPL Results:-
Chelsea 2 Liverpool 0
Man Utd 2 Sunderland 2 (Excellent game, I really wish Sunderland had won)
Spurs 2 Bolton 2

The Legal Regal Eagle

It started out as one of the sh*ttiest days EVER.

I went to work 10 minutes late.

I opened my wallet.

SHOCK HORROR.

My key is gone!

F***.

I can't open the door.

Past 10 am, and if you're unlucky, you're going to be hit with a RM 900 fine for late opening.

*sweats and panics*

Searches frantically for 15 minutes. Nada.

Calls boss.

Understandably, boss is furious.

Calls John.

John doesn't pick up. Maybe he's sleeping.

Calls Leng Keat. John is in college apparently.

Ask Leng Keat to bring key.

Agonising 30 minute wait.

Leng Keat finally opens shop at 11.00 am.

Phewwwwww!!!

I was so embarassed, mortified etc. It really put a dampener on the celebratory mood. I spent the entire morning writing in the little green book in an effort to release my pent-up tension and worry about the potential fine.

Thankfully by 2pm, my mood had improved somewhat (No sign of a fine notice) and my mum arrived at 1U coincidentally in time for my lunch break (she had some errands to do). So we went to Nandos to use up the RM 20 vouchers expiring that day. Mud pie for a treat hehe. Not bad, eventhough I had eaten the EXACT same thing the night before (trying to use up those damn vouchers).

Then dinner time, and the toffee banana is unveiled. A really silly thing happened after dinner though. My dad suggested that I give a slice of cake to my neighbours (Uncle Tim, who's English and Aunty Kim (who's Singaporean) and their adorable 5 year old, Katelynn). So I trotted over next door with a slice of cake in my hand.

SW: *ding dong*

WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!

*dreaded dogs from hell hurl themselves at me. Thankfully, all they managed to do is batter themselves at the gate*

Uncle Tim: Hello, who's there?

SW: Hi Uncle Tim, it's my birthday today and I thought you might like a..slice of cake? *brandishes cake plate*

UT: Sorry, what did you say again? (In the background: WOOF! WOOF!)

SW: *repeats*

UT: Sorry??

sw: *repeats*

UT: *stares* But I don't even know who you are!!

SW: *almost dies of laughter/annoyance*
*points to next door*

UT: Ohhh right! *pause*
But I don't eat cake.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ridiculous. In the end, I said Katelynn could have it.

But the *drama* wasn't ended yet.

After that little episode, I took a bath and dressed in my comfy PJs. Fei Ni had called me earlier on requesting help on an Accounts question and I trudged upstairs to the PC, cordless phone in hand.

Just as I was about to log onto Windows Live Messenger, the cordless phone rings.

SW: Hello?

Carynn: Hello can I speak to Su-Wen please?

SW: Speaking, who's on the line please?

Carynn: Su-Wen, it's Carynn here la! Hurry up and open the door, it's drizzling!!!

SW: Huh? Drizzling? Oh you're outside. BUT I'M IN MY PAJAMAS WEI!

Carynn: Nevermind just open the door la!

SW: *rushes downstairs to have a look*

SW: *Fei Ni and Carynn wave merrily outside the gate*

C and FN: HURRY UP IT'S DRIZZLING!!!!

SW: *shrieks* I'M IN MY PAJAMAS!!! SOMEONE OPEN THE GATE, MY CRAZY FRIENDS ARE HERE!!!

Just an excuse to change my clothes hehe.

I run downstairs and look around. Eh, where have they gone to?

Daddy: They're at the back of you.

And they jump out at me, having a piece of butterscotch cake from SR with a lighted candle, and just for kicks, my fav Sunway choc chip cookie.

And that was the first time I'd ever been surprised on my birthday.

Muchas gracias: Most of all, my parents, Lamb, Fei Ni and Carynn. You guys are the best!

Danke sehr: Especially Leng Keat, for saving my a** in the morning
