Chelsea players celebrate the Drog's second goal with Carlo Ancelotti and Ray Wilkins
Drogba fired home from a corner in the 8th minute, when JT flicked on Malouda's corner and the unmarked hitman bundled it into the net. His second goal came from a counter-attack, when Asharvin lost possesion in the penalty area. Lampard raced up the pitch, played in a great pass to Drogba who turned and cut back inside the penalty area; leaving Vermaelen and Clichy for dead before volleying the ball powerfully past the helpless Almunia. Game over, 3 points and Chelsea regain pole position in the table, 24 hours after United had thrashed Pompey 5-0 to go top.
More importantly, Chelsea fans show their support for JT, who was stripped of the England captaincy on Wednesday.
It's nice then that the last BPL match I'll watch in Malaysia for the remainder of this campaign should end in a comfortable victory for the Blues. I won't be able to watch our next match away to Goodison on Wednesday because I'll be fast asleep on the plane!
