WARNING: Non-football fans/Chelsea fans go no further. This entire post is dedicated to the boys in blue.

Firstly, congratulations to Frank for being awarded the prestigious Football Writers Association Tribute Award in appreciation of 14 years of dedication and service to both Chelsea and England, as well as recognition for being one of the best midfielders in Europe for this decade. Chelsea's vice-captain joins other greats of the game such as Alan Shearer, SAF and Harry Redknapp his uncle to have this honour bestowed on them.
And blimey, he's still going strong. Nowhere near retirement.
Secondly, the game that has got the whole world sitting up and taking notice of us.
Chelsea 7 Sunderland 2

Frank celebrates his second goal in the rout of sorry Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday
No Drogba? No Essien? No problem! Sending out a message to Arsenal and Man Utd that we mean business, Chelsea hit Sunderland for 7 in a horribly lop-sided match where Lamps and Anelka scored braces, adding to a spectacular goal by Ashley Cole and one apiece by Malouda and Ballack. Sure, we conceded 2 dumb goals (a Zenden goal out of nowhere and a Darren Bent header from a corner right at the death) which took the gloss a little of what was a magnificent performance but we still got every pundit in town gushing over us.
That's 12 goals in 2 matches, Chelsea are back to their roaring best.
